Julie Bee’s Bio

Julie Bee, President and Chief Connector of BeeSmart Social Media, is a natural born entrepreneur and an avid social connector.  Originally from West Virginia, Julie moved to Charlotte, NC in 2006.

Julie is a marketing specialist who understands how marketing impacts your bottom line, but also has creative ideas and connections to help your company grow. Julie’s background as a CPA, as well as Vice President of several businesses, gives her a unique perspective on what social media means to your company. It’s about market awareness, marketing exposure, and your bottom line.

As a professional, Julie has worked in many different sectors. She started her career with PriceWaterhouseCoopers as a tax accountant, but quickly decided her true passion was business operations, not taxes. She went on to spend 5 years working with various businesses in the home building, landscaping, and petroleum industries before starting her own company.

Julie started BeeSmart Social Media because she believes that every business has a story to tell and has valuable information to offer.  She believes people do business with people, and making connections on a personal level can help a business grow exponentially.  Social media marketing is a marketing platform that most businesses can use effectively to spread the word about its products and services.  Julie seeks to help these businesses grow their brand and their bottom line.

Julie has performed as a member of the Funny Bone Improv Troop in Charlotte and is known for her great sense of humor. Julie is currently working on her stand-up comedy routines. She is also a proud mother to Lacey, Bon, and Steve –a dog and two cats that she adopted from a local shelter – and is an advocate for pet rescue and adoption.
